| 19 November 2008 (Wednesday) | BRENDAN BIDDISS, CLAIRE BONNER AND ACCOMPANIST ADAM PINTO: a twilight recital of classical guitar music presented by Brendan Biddiss and Claire Bonner, with accompanist Adam Pinto. The programme will feature the work of Mexican composer Manuel Ponce: his evocative 'Sonatina meridional' and 'Concierto del Sur' (Concerto of the South), as well as music by Barrios, Walton and Smith Brindle. John Septimus Roe Anglican Community School Chapel, Mirrabooka Ave (cnr Boyare Ave), commencing at 6:30pm. Entry is by gold coin donation. |

| 13 December 2008 (Saturday) | Classical Guitar together with Shakuhachi and String Quartet: playing the Three Prize Winning entries for the Shakuhachi Chamber Music Composition Competition 2008.
Melba Hall, The University of Melbourne, Royal Parade, Parkville 3:30pm. The inaugural Performance Concert to present the winning compositions from USA, Australia and Japan performed by Australia’s leading Shakuhachi masters and instrumentalists. The concert features Kanishka Karunaratne guitar, Silo String Quartet, Andrew MacGregor & Anne Norman shakuhachi and also Antony Field leading a VCA Guitar Ensemble.
